[tickets]

Wavves : Friday // 12:15pm // Budweiser Stage

I am stoked to kick off the weekend seeing Wavves. King Of The Beach will probably be my pick for album of the Summer. Their blend of punk-rock/lo-fi will definitely be a highlight and an energetic kickstart to our weekend.

Wavves – Post Acid

The Big Pink : Friday // 3:00pm // Adidas Mega Stage

The London-based duo, The Big Pink, are Robbie Furze and Milo Cordell’s electronic rock efforts. After their single release of “Velvet”, which received heaps of praises, they released A Brief History Of Love this past Fall on 4AD.

The Big Pink – Velvet

The Black Keys : Friday // 6:00pm // Budweiser Stage

The Black Keys are at the forefront of their genre crossing indie rock with southern blues. They’ve putting out incredible releases for the past decade, the most recent being Brothers. I’ll be hitting this up after Dirty Projectors.

The Black Keys – Tighten

Tiga : Friday // 7:30pm // Perry’s Stage

Tiga’s set to take the stage right after Erol Alkan. The guys a cross-genre international playboy DJ. Every release rules. I will say this as well- Perry’s Stage has some fire on Friday. 2ManyDjs will also bring heat, no doubt.

Tiga – Far From Home

Only Children : Saturday // 12:00pm // Perry’s Stage

Only Children, are set to open up my Saturday. There’s nothing quite like Disco House on a Saturday afternoon. If you’re a Chicago local and haven’t been to one of their parties, you’ve really got to get out more.

Hey Champ – Cold Dust Girl (Only Children Remix)

Harlem : Saturday // 1:00pm // Sony Stage

Since moving from Tuscon to Austin, Harlem has earned a big reputation for themselves. Part of me was hoping to catch them in an intimate setting for the first time, but I’ll take what I can get. Their debut, Free Drugs, rules.

Harlem – Gay Human Bones

Grizzly Bear : Saturday // 4:15pm // Budweiser Stage

Brooklyn-based psychedelic folk rock group, Grizzly Bear, is another expected highlight. Veckatimist is the latest of three full length albums, released in 2009. And they’re Radiohead’s guitarist’s favorite band..

Grizzly Bear – Graceland (Paul Simon Cover)

Cut Copy : Saturday // 7:30pm // Playstation Stage

I’m glad that Cut Copy is on the lineup, considering that they are still working on their forthcoming album, due out in January. Their legendary album, In Ghost Colours, was by far the best work of 2008.

Cut Copy – Far Away (Damn Arms Remix)

Dani Deahl : Sunday // 11:15am // Perry’s Stage

Gotta start the day off right. Dani’s Deahl, DJ, blogger, label owner and good friend of mine, will be setting off Perry’s Stage bright and early with electro gems. I always love dancin’ in the sunlight.

Dani Deahl – Ghetto House Radio Mix {zshare}

Health : Sunday // 11:30am // Adidas Stage

American Noise Rock done right, Health has been taking off since their touring in 2008. They’re widely known now for carefully selecting noises and raw synths, haunting vocals, and insane drum techniques.

Health – Die Slow

Yeasayer : Sunday // 4:00pm // Budweiser Stage

I caught Yeasayer’s last gig at Metro and it was pretty awesome. Since their first single, “Sunrise”, the Brooklyn experimental rock group has been soaring. Their second full length, Odd Blood, is still on heavy rotation here.

Yeasayer – O.N.E.

Arcade Fire : Sunday // 8:30pm // Budweiser Stage

The hottest band on the planet right now. If you are unfamiliar with their discography you have some catching up to do. Especially considering their forthcoming release, The Suburbs, is coming out very soon. So excited.

Arcade Fire – Wake Up
