The Life Wire

September 13, 2009

If you haven’t had the opportunity to listen to Gregor Tresher’s latest EP releases, The Life Wire Part 1, released in mid-August, or The Life Wire Part 2, released a week ago Monday, it’s time to do your homework. Seriously. And take another closer look at the album artwork I posted above. Notice anything? Kinda eerie, eh?

The last time we heard Tresher putting forth music this great was two years ago with A Thousand Nights, his first feature full-length. Dark and melodic, tunes like these grow to characterize periods of time for me very easily. Below is a track that came out sometime last year, where Tresher remixed who would have to be my favorite Irish DJ, Fergie for the release, Great Carnival Stuff. Also very nice.

Been loving Gregor Tresher ever since I first heard A Thousand Nights. Great remix of Fergie too. Can’t wait for the next longplayer.
