Making his way through Chicago following his set tonight (this moment, really..) at Summerfest, Detroit techno legend Richie Hawtin will be spinning at Smartbar on Sunday, July 5th. It’s gonna get hot in there.
Often times operating under the nomiker Plastikman (among others), Hawtin is known worldwide for his minimal techno sound, and for the record labels he started such as Plus 8, which he founded with John Acquaviva, and M_Nus that he started in ‘98.
Though it’s a short stay in the US, he will be in Cleveland and St. Louis on Friday & Saturday before heading back to Europe.
Radiation – Meltdown (Richie Hawtin South of Detroit Dub)
Josh Wink – Don’t Laugh (Richie Hawtin Mix)
(sorry for the abrupt ending on this track it’s taken from a mix)
