Thursday night I embark on a journey back to LA, the city of smog [scenesters, hipsters, sneakers, blogs] for a haunted halloween party at HARDfest. There will be much peril, dancing, drinking and general insanity. I might come back a changed person. Looking at the lineup, I can almost guarantee either something incredible, or something incredibly awful will happen to me. Nothings for certain. So tomorrow, I’m gonna fly into LA and occupy my time in traffic, meeting up with some of my buddies that live out there, grabbing a drink & a smoke. Trying to relax, I guess. If anyone knows some fly shit that I oughtta be doing on Thursday night, I’m all ears. Email me, or leave a comment and I’ll hit you up. We’ll get down. Wait… just got updated. Treasure Fingers at Dance Right. My god- that was fast.
Friday I’ll meet up with Beats. Yeah, he’s going too! That night I want to be at the show around 9PM for 2ManyDJs. I’ve only seen the Soulwax Nite Versions act of theirs, so I’m pretty stoked to see it back down to the basics. Simian Mobile Disco will be on at 10:40 after that and judging by the small and large gigs at Empty Bottle and Coachella ‘08, I’m expecting the world here. Soulwax right after that. It’d take the end of the world to keep me from seeing that set. Then over to Justice. Now I’ve seen Justice 4 or 5 times in the last year, and though they’re awesome, no doubt, I’ve only been able to see the Crookers once and that was pretty damn cool, so halfway through the set I’ll make my way over to that stage for some fidget.
Outhere Brothers – Enjoy (Crookers Remix)
Boys Noize will be stomping the life out of the Trick or Treat stage right after that, so I’ll be over there. And then I’ll head back to the Expo stage for Deadmau5 to close it all down. Someone told me he’d have a pumpkin head this time around. Just thought I’d share that with you. That’s the plan, and that’s probably the best 5 hours of live music that I can imagine ever having the chance to see in consecutive order. Have a ticket? Sweet! See ya there. Waited too long? Sucks to be you- it’s sold out.
Late Of The Pier – Focker (Boys Noize Terror Remix)
Saturday night, I’ll be over at the SmashDisco event featuring Classixx, Mr Gaspar, Big Na$ty, DMNDays, Dskotek, DJ Diamond and… drumroll please… BEATS! That’s right, dropping in from the Windy City to represent how it should be done. The party’s at The Disco Warehouse, 5031 York Blvd. and the cover is ten bones, five if you RSVP on Going.com. Here’s a sick Classixx track, check the site in a little bit for an exclusive Gaspar track as well.

rsvp that shit.
I hope for you, that Justice plays a better set in LA than in Berlin. They were just partying themselves
and the people just got crazy when they played their own tracks…
Cheers

Pingback by HARDfest Memories « Hot Biscuits October 29, 2008 @ 10:56 pmcan’t decide whether to see boys noize or justice… I’m yet to experience Justice live so I feel I have to but Boys Noize is certainly technically the better dj. Can’t believe they overlapped Crookers Just and Boys Nize all by so much. What you gonna do?
Comment by fancysounds October 30, 2008 @ 12:36 ami’ll see all three, but i’ll leave midway through the justice set for the crookers show. can’t miss those guys.
