I think I’ve found my favorite website. I’m not sure what they’re saying, but I think it’s japanese. I love japan, and not just because someone right now is over there making a robot I can have sex with. Japan is so much more than that.
Hello again. We seemed to have some technical difficulties over here at [redthreat] for a day or two. Some archaic minded organization got angry at a post of mine, even though the record label didn’t seem to mind. Funny how that works. I’m not making the big $$$ off my site. I dont’ put any bogus ads so I can buy myself a donut every month. I’m not in it for the donut. It’s all for love, so I don’t know why they need to go and hate so much. This world is so unfair sometimes. I Wasn’t quite sure if I’d be here to spread my love to y’all anymore, and was thinking that I might have to start another music blog up. Looks like I won’t have to do that yet. So let’s get back to bizness.
Sluttt is Boston. I don’t know much about them other than the fact that they love elusive rainbow icons that trigger seizures in small children and that they get really angry at people spamming their myspace wall. There was a funny bulletin posted the other week that at first glance seemed like an emotional breakdown over the issue. Regardless, from what I hear they run the scene out east. Check out a Tuesday night Hearthrob gig if ur out there sometime, hosted by Red Foxxx, Morgan Louis, CEO USA and Baltimoroder (ep release soon on Dopamine Records). My buddy Beep Iams went to school in beantown and had only good things to say about what those guys are up to, having played a few gigs with some of them himself. He’s a sick dj himself, but I’ll get into that later when he makes me a mix finally. Here’s a new single from Sluttt that is hitting all the right notes for me right now, and a few older gems. I want the Jokers Of The Scene remix that was posted on Brooklyn Vegan though. Wtf? And the “Goodbye Instrumental” is also something I’ll be waiting on- hit the myspace for a taste. If bangers are dead, then these guys are like Jesus to Lazarus.

More mixtape! This time by Detboi, straight out of Dublan[d], Ireland. I’m not sure where I got the mix, honestly, it just popped up on my itunes after some careless blog wandering. Any help would be much appreciated. And if you’re living anywhere off the tip of northeastern Europe and not going to any gigs that he’s involved himself with in the upcomming weeks, shame on you. You can find out about them on his myspace page. He’s also got a few EP’s to check out, namely “Do You Know Who I Am?” and “Jump Up Jump Down” and has been chillin’ with all the right people doing all the right remixes lighting up the blogosphere like a minefield. Check these out if you haven’t already and stomp a little, eh?
Machines Don’t Care – Soundboy Massive (Herve & Detboi Remix)

Man, UK popstars Friendly Fires have all the quirk I need on this afternoon. Mad work being hella annoying. I need something to get lost to. Further supporting a similarity that I have decided upon between the lead singer and The Cure, we have us the single “Skeleton Boy” with similar sound and similar tone with a glitchy slant. To top it off, here’s a new Mock & Toof remix of “Photobooth” to you to get down on. If you like what you hear, Friendly Fires will be at The Empty Bottle on October 25th, en route from New York and Boston down through San Fran and LA with stops in-between, promoting their new album “Beyond the Horizon” (available on iTunes).

Alllll you need is gloves baby.. G.L.O.V.E.S, or Yama Indra from Damn Arms, came through with a remix he did of a recent Van She single. A perfectly accented Van She track balancing emotional qualities without looking backwards into last year for an ‘07 pocket-banger. Times change, and lately a chainsaw to the track won’t work on me like it did a year ago. Times change yo. As hipster runoff would put it; hasn’t it been like.. 100 blog years already? On a serious tip, though, I could picture myself standing outside of a girl’s window with this blasting out a boombox held high above my head like a High Fidelity scene.. Maybe not. As far as Damn Arms go, it’s safe to say that their time being spent in the studio right now will yield some great stuff. Head over to their myspace to check out the demo verion of “Destination”, and peep this video and tell me that doens’t look like a great show. And while yer at it, if you haven’t heard this Gameboy/Gamegirl remix by now, do yourself a favor and give it at least a once-over.

Comment by sigfy September 17, 2008 @ 9:33 amHa! I met Beep a few months back at a gig I was spinning at, he kept coming up and making requests but not the usual ones were you respond “yeah, I’ll see if I have any…” but like good shit, really good, really good shit I would have been spinning anyway.
He gratiously offered to cover me while I ran to the bathroom and he was killing it, so I just let him close out the night – would love to hear that mix of his if it’s anything like the ones he’s posted in the past on his site.
Also glad the man didn’t shut ya down!

Different people sorta contribute to the female “image” or whatever, but he’s the brains behind the operation.
