To spice things up this week, James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem is playing at SmartBar on Thursday. I know where I’m gonna be day after tomorrow. You might want to be there, too- the show will be awesome.

LCD Soundsystem – Someone Great (Shokking Shokkaboy Remix)

Digikid84 has a new EP out right now that was released in the middle of July called “Bboy Underground” that features a few killer tracks and a Leonard de Leonard feature. Here’s a scorching track off it it called “Shot Down” that’ll give you an idea of the duo’s work.

Much to the delight of just about everyone with ears and a reasonable taste in music, Van She released their debut album “V” on Saturday. If you haven’t heard by now, they’re another killer group out of Sydney, and much of their work found on the internet has been composed under the guise of Van She Tech where they successfully dominated much of the remix world within the last 2 years. The album is solid, well worth shelling out for. Click here to grab yourself a copy.

Here’s to ripping apart a Bloc Party song! Such obscure high end on this one. So clean and yet.. so dirty. Herve is a madman.

Bloc Party – Mercury (Herve Is In Disarray Remix)

I’ve been really digging the White Williams remix of Muscles‘ “The Lake” recently. Really nice work there. They’re singer has been growing on me really quick, especially songs like “Ice Cream” on a scorching summer day.

My adoration for Danger’s bizarre sound has been quite obvious by a lot of my postings. This time he worked on a Midnight Juggernauts staple, “Into the Galaxy”, giving it the same spooky and ominous tone that borrows from whatever influence his previous work offers. Dude’s in a world of his own, but sure creates some interesting music.

Today, thisFaint song has been catching my ear. Embarking on a worldwide tour spanning from California to Tokyo, they’re probably coming to a city near you pretty soon. They’ll be in Chicago on August 22nd at The Vic Theatre before heading back home to Omaha, and then across the ocean. Here’s a song called “The Geeks Were Right” off of “Fasciination“- their latest album.

Herve is one of the best producers around. Also operating as The Count, Voodoo Chilli, Action Man, Dead Soul Brothers, Speaker Junk and Young Lovers, he’s soon to drop The Count & Sinden, Young Lovers on Loungin, and some ill ass shit with some other madmen under the guise of Machines Don’t Care. If you’ve been overlooking his work, you’ve only been cheating yourself.
