The Crystal Castles are playing tonight- for free- at Double Door. And if that couldn’t sound any better, how about if they threw in Radioclit and Franki Chan, of iheartcomix? Reconsider those plans you had of romantic candlelit dinners or microwavable meals or whatever else there was that isn’t going to be nearly as awesome.
Free shows mean more money for booze, and more money for tylenol tomorrow morning when you need it. The show will be one of two performances that Radioclit and Franki perform with the Crystal Castles, the other being in Brooklyn at Studio B tomorrow, before they join forces with Drop The Lime and play in a few major cities dotted across the US. One word of advice? Get there early.

Comment by evan June 19, 2008 @ 2:46 pmme and my friends interviewed health when they were touring with cc and health killed it and fucking cc was shit. they made everyone leave while htey were doing there soundcheck, didn’t do any press unless u were mtv or muchmusic, and while we were getting kicked out of hte venue for their ’soundcheck’ it was quite obvious that alice’s voice was sampled and put on a fucking keyboard….not cool. oh, and they were bragging about how 50 cent apparently ripped off one of their beats they left behind in the recording studio…so they’re using the same studio as fitty? AND they weren’t even nice ppl either. they sure got pretty fucking big in a flash, i remember just yesterday when they were just typical queen street hipster snots.

I figured this time theyd be more polishED and alice would actually sound like she did on the cd and better. Unfortunately I was wrong and they made us wait over an hour for the worst set ever. I mean how long can it take for two people to walk on stage when one doesnt even need to set up instruments.
Alice went between whispering and ear piercing screaming. I stayed for a total of two songs and wanted to gouge my ears with sharp objects. People were leaving right and left because it was so awful.
Thank God it was a free show or I wouldve demanded my money back and compensation for losing those hours of my life.
Last time I saw them I bought a cd for 10 bucks and two posters for like 8 dollars when i got home and took them out of the package, it was a burned cd that wasnt even labeled and had two songs on it of crystal castles and the posters turned out to be black and white photo copies of real posters that prolly cost them 5 cents to make.
What a fucking rip off!
But then again thats what they are known for…ripping people off, ripping songs off, ripping artwork off and ripping away hours from their fans lifes that they can never get back.
Crystal Castles is like paris hilton, FAMOUS FOR NO FUCKING REASON AND TALENTLESS nonetheless.
I think Ethan from crystal castles should ditch alice, and have his own solo project he is the only one that actually possesses any REAL TALENT.
