Child prodigy turned electro-wizard, Yuksek, is making more of an appearance these days with his ever-inspiring remixes. This time it’s of artists like Mika, Ghostface Killah and Van She. “Lollipop” has all of the starry-eyed electro builds to keep dancefloors- and European festival grounds- melting all summer. In a totally different, but equally impressive direction, we have us a Van She “Strangers” remix that showcases all of the dreamy, synthy new wave goodness with that grinding electro spine that only Yuksek could pair. We also have us a piping hot remix from Le Castle Vania. This time he reworked one of my favorite songs and artists of the moment, Grum. One of my favorite classic artists from when this blog had just started and one of my favorite artists from within the last few weeks. Keep an eye out for a killer Shinichi Osawa edit by Lies In Disguise, Le Castle Vania’s project with Blake Miller from Moving Units, that they have coming out pretty soon. Now that’s a winning combo if I’ve ever heard one..

Oh man, here’s what you’ve been waiting for. You might not even know it quite yet, but you’ve been dying to hear this shit. Fake Blood popped up on the blogosphere with a few new remixes that are entirely unreal. One of them is this Unkle vs. Fake Blood clash that pounds. I literally can’t get enough of it. The other two, that I’ve decided to post, are of Underworld and Sinden & Monte Cristal. Quite a range of work here to get lost to. Fake Blood has the unique ability to take what I would sometimes call an ‘outdated’ production sample and tear it’s brain out all over a sounddeck.

For the 60th No Love Lost Records mixtape project, Anoraak put together a killer little mixtape that will find it’s way on my car stereo system for the next month or two. Recently a Myspace featured artist, there seems to be a lot of positive feedback to his Karate Kid-esque 80’s new wave style. Shoot, Anoraak even has a Karate Kid flyer in his myspace photo album, if that tells you anything about influences. This music couldn’t be better for a breezy summer night, driving alongside Lake Michigan like life was an outtake of Risky Business. Classic stuff here. I can honestly say that anything that this guy comes out with is solid gold, and that I am more excited to hear Anoraak’s new material than any other artist at this moment. Un-effing-believable.
