Justice is in town tomorrow for the Chicago wing of their Myspace Music Tour featuring Diplo , and if you remember the last gig at Smartbar- one: you weren’t partying hard enough, and two: you probably already have tickets to the event. And if you do, you should feel special because the show sold out some time ago, leaving people on craigslist both desperate and demanding. It’s a shame. I had two extras that I was planning on posting about, but they’ve been had already. Sorry. I told you cats a while back to go and cop tickets (go buy Hot Chip tickets, btw)… Here’s a video of Genesis taken recently that I found on Youtube if you want to prep yourself for it all. Look at the comments for firsthand accounts. Looks like they have a different light setup than the last time I saw them. I guess we’ll see.
Scenerio Rock - Skitzo Dancer (Justice Remix)
Justice - Phantom Pt. II (Boys Noize Remix)
But if you slept on those tickets and are kicking yourself right now, don’t be discouraged- there is an afterparty at Sonotheque where the Parisian duo will be spinning for a charity event with Sirhan, John Herndon and the Gutter Butter DJs. So you’ll be able to catch a party tonight if you get there early. I’m guessing really early. There’s also a party at Debonair with Diplo, Dani Deahl, Derek Specs, Joe Vortech & Local Hero! Aaand, there’s the FlybyNight event with Dave Nada, Jackie O, Willy Joy & Capcom at Empire Liquors across the street! Not to mention an afterparty for that over at Evil Olive with DJ Zebo!! Christ Almighty!

But you’ll more than likely catch me at Smartbar, however, for The Bloody Beetroots‘ own version of the afterparty with The Glamour. Judging by how hard they rocked at Vision the other weekend with MSTRKRFT & Lazaro Casanova, I’m really looking forward to more ‘Beetroots. Few rock parties that hard. Here’s a new song of theirs floating around recently, that I found through onewordfish. Really clean. You might remember it from the Justice X-Mas mix that I posted a little while back.

Hey Nicko,
that remix of of Phantom II is cut off….do you have the full version? Also, the website for Sonotheque is Sonotheque.net
Now that I’ve been an ass, have fun tomorrow, it’s been the week of the dance here in the Chi. If I see/recognize you at Sonotheque I’ll introduce myself and buy you a beer because you’ve turned me onto some really great music.

Comment by evan March 20, 2008 @ 2:38 pmThe Riv needs to be condemned but Smartbar was an absolute blast. TBB will actually be back at Smartbar on April 23 with LA Riots and Felix Cartal.
Comment by evan March 21, 2008 @ 10:24 amfuck yeah! i had no idea. man, you’re always giving me good bb news. yo, what version of DVNO did they play? and how sick was that “we came from venice” track live? those guys rule.
Comment by nicko March 21, 2008 @ 11:05 amWhat version did Justice play? I had a hard time focusing because of the the sheer amount of people there. But yeah, TBB threw down hard. Have you heard “Fucked From Above 1985″ on their Myspace page? I can’t stop listening to it.
Comment by evan March 21, 2008 @ 2:51 pmThe Bloodies brought it to Smartbar AND they’re super nice dudes to boot. Word on the street is you can RSVP here - http://www.scion.com/AVrelease - for April 23 @ SB. It’s not activated yet but keep checking back, kids…
