The Whip threw out a remix of one of my favorite songs of theirs, done by none other than the Bloody Beetroots! Though I’m usually a huge fan of their work, I’d have to say that I love the original so much that I can’t really bear to part with that context of the song. Here’s a nice little remix that Roccanova threw at me. One of MSTRKRFT’s classics remixed in their own style fit for any floor, keeping me even more excited for the show that’s coming up in the next few weeks. I still can’t believe that it’s going to be at Vision- that club is more known for having the likes of Sasha and ATB than the more well known electro heads. I included an older MSTRKRFT remix that they mixed up as well: She’s Good for Business.

On to another banger. Out of Fresno, Colorsucker gave me a song the other day. This is one of the more breakneck, electro jams that I’ve listened to in a while: grimy 8bit thuds with a sharp kicksnare. It’s sure to get attention when played.

Holy Hell! More Neon Coyote on the way here. Probably the best Yelle remix I’ve heard in a fat minute, solidifying these guys in my top five for overall remix mastery. Here’s a hip hop gem that I’ve had buried in my hard drive since I bought the album at their show in Phoenix. They were there with a few of the Galapagos4 crew (Robust, Qwel, etc.) This track has one of the sickest big band jazz backbones to it, I can practically see the kids breakdancing in zoot suits to it. Luck on Strike threw together their own take on Jackson & His Computer Band’s “Arpeggio”. Solid assembly, only to break it apart at the two minute marker and piece it all back together for it’s final glory. Reminds me a little of the D.A.N.C.E. remix that MSTRKRFT.
