First thing’s first. If you haven’t copped your tickets to the Justice show on March 20th and the Hot Chip show on April 17th- both announcing their US tours recently- get on the ball. Click the link and get it over with or you’ll hate yourself later. I snatched up a few others just to make sure I wouldn’t be going alone! These’ll be hot. Oh, and Simian Mobile Disco are coming back, too! Sonotheque on March 17th! And we have the Teenagers on the 26th, and you can’t buy tix for that as far as I know but you sure don’t want to miss it.

Simian Mobile Disco – Hustler (Shackleton Remix)

Here we have Pirate Robot Midget. Yeah, funny name, tearing Trent Reznor apart in an industrialectro swagger (i’m coining that word; it’s mine). Then switching gears and showing us a lighter, brighter side of french pop made a little rough around the edges. The Yelle remix is one of the best of it’s kind that I’ve seen yet.. with exception to the Tepr cut, but that one doesn’t even really count because those fools all roll together anyways.

Mr. Gaspar is out of Cali and owns his city. Threw down a Sneaky Sound System remix of “Pictures” that has had quite a few plays around my spot the last few days. That’s a hell of a catchy song there. Found the others shortly after and I must say that I’m liking the “Bucky Done Gone” piece a lot, too.

There’s a pretty good quality Cool Kids live video hosted by Baeble Music. They’re databasing a lot of shows, and plan on expanding their collection significatly this year. Cool idea, I’d like to see that project blow up.

I’m still on a semi-DeadMau5 kick over here. Screw whatever genre you think this guy belongs to; talent is talent. Bounce over to his myspace page and take a listen to his new track “I Remember”. I’ve been digging that a lot lately. Here’s another that I’ve been bouncing to.

I’m not sure why I haven’t seen these songs around. No clue, really, but here they are: Blake Miller’s (Moving Units, Lies in Disguise) remixes of a couple of the bigger tracks to have hit the airwaves the past year or two. Trancid played the Justice remix a little while back at Sonotheque, where I first heard it. So enjoy those. But where is the copy of the Toxic Avenger “Poker Face” clip remixed by Lies in Disguise, already?

And I’ve gotten to the point where Gentlemen Drivers could start making polka and I’d still be all over it. Here we have the acclaimed “Paris Texas” by 33hz reworked. It’s been out a while, but it’s nice to revisit. While you’re at it, check this video out.
