To help celebrate Ryan Paradise’s birthday, electro remix-wizard, Junior Sanchez, is rolling through Chicago tonite over at Debonair alongside Dark Wave DJs Mark Gertz & Trancid, Heather Doble & Ryan Paradise himself.
Sanchez reminds me of a young Tommie Sunshine in some ways. Toned & polished, less static- more balanced, choosing from a plethra of artists to focus on. Remixing and remastering tracks into the way that they should have been made. He’s done the Gorillaz, Moving Units and Madonna, Felix Da Housecat & Bloc Party to name a few. There’s very little limit as to what influence Sanchez will pull from. Also, by now it’s become quite evident that any gig Gertz & Trancid are playing is going to kickass regardless of who is headlining. Show up early.
