Horse With No Name

I keep messing with my header. You may have noticed. I’m not sure which one I like, but if you want to help me decide there’s two choices: picture a or picture b. I’m more of a fan of b. But I’m just an artist, and any good critic has consistently proven that artists don’t know shit about anything. Stick to the protocol, paint or draw, or dance. Or make some songs on a computer that I can post on my blog, so that people at work have something to do not work related whatsoever. The finer things in life.

Work can wait! I might be going to Scottsdale this next week! Spur of the moment type deal. A journey that I’m more than ready for seeing that as of the first of December, it has snowed over ten inches. Last night it was 13 degrees outside. Farenheit, for you euros and aussies, etc.. Sure, I love a white Christmas, but I can’t take much more of this. I need a break. And Scottsdale is a paradise this time of year, cruising at a 70 degree winter all season long. Oh, and Junkie XL is playing on Friday- the icing on the cake that I repeatedly begged those promoters to book again since April 20th when he burned Myst down. I’m stoked. And my favorite redhead, Ellena, is coming too! So get ready AZ.

Coldplay - Talk (Junkie XL Remix)

Junkie XL - Ive Got A Xerox To Copy

And on to the music. Here are a few tunes I’ve been listening to, some I dug up recently, some I’ve been sitting on. The Bloody Beetroots track has been around for a week or two, kinda iffy. I just found that Metric remix- the original may be my favorite of all of them. Ursula 1000 is always exciting, but I’m not an enormous fan of the remix. Still worth posting. The Jackson & His Computer Band track is golden. Great Album, too. “Raised by Wolves” has the chorus-hook of the century. Here’s a tight video of the live performance. It goes without saying that you’ve got a wonderful single anytime Radiohead & Astralwerks share focus, no matter how old the song is. Four Tet Kills it. The Popular Computer track was a request. And Beyond the Wizard’s Sleeve is posted every time I find them, especially when the ‘Bros are involved. And that’s that. Sorry if I’m being brief, but I have a datA show to go to. Hooha.

The Bloody Beetroots - Butter

Metric - Dead Disco (Kylie Kills Mix)

Jackson & His Computer Band - Rock On

The Faint - Your Retro Career Melted (Ursula 1000 Remix)

Chemical Brothers - Battle Scars (Beyond The Wizards Sleeve Re-Animation)

Lo-Fi-Fnk - Steppin’ Out (Popular Computer Remix)

Midnight Juggernauts - Raised By Wolves

Radiohead - Skttrbrain (Four Tet Remix)

for what it’s worth, my former-graphic-designer self likes the graphic elements in the red background (is that picture a? i’m bad at math), but i like the color palette of picture b (the one with the airplane). there’s something rather smart (& i mean that in multiple senses of the word) about the banner for [redthreat] being blue.

Yo whats up homey? Hows Chicago been treating you? I finally got my internet back, and I’ve been blowin up the page for a couples days now downloading just about everything. I’d say go with picture A. Oh yeah and I’m heading back to AZ again.
