Here’s something to be excited about, Chicago. Straight from the windy city comes Matthew Mercer & Matt Keppel, better known as Microfilm. They’re one of the more anticipated acts that I’ve been keeping an eye on lately, ever since I stumbled across the OCD Soundsystem remix that was being posted all over. Their sound is a clean blend of a variety of styles, from minimal to house to more synth oriented experimental electronic. Very suitable as think-pieces or as a dancefloor bangers. Cool stuff.
Microfilm just released a remix EP for the title track to their debut album and Matthew Mercer just dropped 2 solo EPs on his own accord. Below are a few tracks they sent my way today that I’ve been digging. And you can buy their work here, here & here.
