Alright! This is my first post using the very interesting new internet platform flock. Thought I’d give it a shot and see how it goes. Very user interactive. I’m actually posting from it- they have the whole blog feature function built right into it. kinda cool! Want another cool link? Check this out- it’s a diagram of the descent into hell described in Dante’s Inferno: Here!
Another post I’ve been meaning to get to for a while is east coast electro-thump bangers Plus Move. Ever since that Kavinsky “Wayfarer” remix I’ve been hooked. I dug up Boss- have no idea how that slipped past me, but it’s worth the wait if ya haven’t heard it yet.
Here we go with The Futureheads. Post-punk UK rockers with a mellow pop accent, this sound doesn’t make it too much into my site. But with the amount of attention being paid lately for the “Hounds of Love” Kate Bush cover, it’s almost a must that I shift focus. The vocals are an interesting flare on their tracks. All of them. Each lending to their mood & atmosphere of playfulness. The Phones remix is on constant rotation in the brain all day long.
The Futureheads - Hounds of Love (Phones’ Wolves at the Door Remix)
The Futureheads - Let’s Dance (David Bowie Cover )
Morillo Vs. The Futureheads - Dance About It Later (Andy Styler Remix)
This track resurfaced on my playlist this weekend. By far my favorite remix of the classic SMD “It’s the Beat”- the Teenagers kill this one. It might be my favorite track of The Teenagers altogether, now that I put some serious thought into it. It captures the mood in a way that hasn’t been with any of the others.
Simian Mobile Disco - Its The Beat (The Teenagers Remix)

Gotta post it. Have to do it. The Villains are something to be proud of, Americans. Another set of cats ready to throw down like we actually mean business over here, kids are straight tripping out over these guys the past week. I can see why, they hang with some of the best we have to offer. It’s funny that it has take so long for us to notice. The “Thrilla” remix, the second I saw it (without hearing) I instantly dismissed it. Foolish. Normally I’d say don’t even attempt it, but this is damn good. Like - two weeks ago flashback blasted at Liars Club on halloween good. Nostalgia good. You already know how I feel about ‘witches.

Bloc Party - Hunting for Witches (Villains Electro-Banger Remix)
Ever since Check The Availability posted this Diplo “Hang Up” remix I can’t stop playing it. Sorry, for those of you that hate on Madonna, but her most recent album is fire- and Diplo has a knack for producing, if you haven’t heard. The guy is a studio gangster. The YYY remix is off of the EP, and though I like the original more, I thought it was worth including.
Madonna - Hung Up (Diplo Remix)
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Gold Lion (Diplo’s Optimo Remix)
How do you follow up that? By shifting gears, that’s how. Enter Danish producer Kasper Bjorke. I’ve waited to gather up some of his stuff to go and post it. It’s taken a few songs to start to figure the guy out. Here’s what I got for ya. “Igo Ugo” reminds me of “Tally Ho!” a little bit- the sickest release of Luke Vibert’s ever (aka WagonChrist). Dreamy, rounded, playful. Not afraid to branch out a little. The Tom Boy remix has a nice transition between the vocals and synths, and it only gets better as the song rolls on.
Kasper Bjorke - Igo Ugo
Kasper Bjorke - Back And Spine (Tom Boy Remix)
The Glass - Come Alive (Kasper Bjorke Remix)
And here’s the little wind-down again. How can you ever pass up a Charlotte Gainsbourg track? Throw Cousin Cole on it and you got me sold- but this is a far cry from what you would normally hear come form him. It’s great.
