The Teenagers are a fantastic trio outta England and France, and are under Kitsune’s label. They’re another electro-clash grey area, falling through the cracks of being labeled either an indie group or an electronic music act. For me, they represent another offshoot of a post-punk culture with comprehensive knowledge of electronic music. There’s the same dirt and blood present in some of their music that you will find in the late 80’s punk or mod. But what really stands out are the remixes that they produce, and the remixes of their songs, all of which being from an amazing crowd. Yet as far as audiences go, they seem to be sticking around western Europe for the next month or two.
I’ve posted several of their tracks here and there, but thought it necessary to package it all together after how many times I’ve played their songs this week. The Enemy’s ‘Had Enough’ remix has been on repeat for over 48 hours now. Also, make sure not to skip over the Simian Mobile Disco track, that tune is golden.
